After having brake repair work done on your car, you may still hear your brakes squeal when stopping. This usually signifies that the brake repair process wasn't completely finished and may not indicate a problem, but you would be wise to take your car back to the shop anyway. With respect to brake fluid, you should have yours inspected regularly for moisture and metal flakes. You should also not have your brake fluid topped off, as too much fluid prevents your brake pads from signalling that they are wearing down. You should also be sure to have your metal on metal brake parts lubricated regularly to maintain a proper barrier.
